I’ve been to Uva so many times before, but for a roomie final dinner it was definitely the right spot. I will continue to rave about it until my dying day! This is the top restaurant that I am going to miss in the Upper East Side, so if you’re ever in my old neighborhood you need to make a stop here.
To start we got a bottle of Nero ‘d Avola and it was perfect for the meal. Not too sweet that it would overpowered everything we were eating. Of course, like true winos we finished every last drop.
We had two phenomenal appetizers – my favorite must have Black Truffle Honey and Sheep’s Ricotta Bruschetta and a new one Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella with Bread Crumbs. If I were ever on death row this would be my last meal.
I ordered the special that the waiter mistakenly told me was ravioli but was in fact Gnocchi, but it was so amazing that I didn’t mind. And I had left overs for dinner tonight. It was in a creamy tomato sauce with mushrooms. I’ve found that you can never go wrong with the special from Uva. I could have this whole meal over again tonight and it would be just as good. Mmmmm!
